Laboratory Lubricant Analyst Level II - Video on Demand

This class is accessed by the student as a series of online videos, accessed as needed for viewing or review.   The videos are available for viewing for 6 months from the time of purchase, allowing review, test preparation, and time for remediation for retesting.  MRG Labs’ LLA II training covers the body of knowledge set forth by the International Council of Machine Lubrication (ICML). 

This course provides a single license for 1 student to view and utilize these materials.  Upon purchase, a single student shall be designated by name to take the course, and a Certificate of Completion will be provided for that named student to meet the ICML requirements of a record of training prior to sitting for the exam.  A copy of course materials, which includes a color printed book, flashcards, and training aids will be mailed to that student upon receipt of payment.

The purpose for the Level II Laboratory Lubricant Analyst (LLA) certification is to verify that laboratory personnel from both commercial oil analysis labs and private in-house labs practicing in the field of lube oil analysis as it is applied to machinery condition monitoring and maintenance, are qualified to perform sample analysis and interpretation, being able to:                     

• Set-up routine testing schedules and test slates.
• Verify calibration of laboratory instruments as per specified procedures.
• Recognize all forms of lubricant contamination and be able to undertake all associate test methods.
• Recognize data which is a change from the norm.
• Diagnose lubricant failure mechanisms and modes.
• Perform wear particle testing and basic analysis.
• Customize tests and perform sample analysis and interpretation
• Report results
• Demonstrate advanced quality knowledge (ISO/IEC 17025)
• Provide guidance and supervision to category I personnel
